Attendance, Absence and Tardiness
Good attendance is essential to the success of WokChow. Every Team Member is expected to be ready to begin work at their scheduled time and in appropriate work attire. If, for some reason, you are unable to report for work, you must call and speak only with a Manager. If you expect to be late, please contact Management and notify them of when you will be arriving.
It is expected that you will be ready to work at your scheduled in time. This means your clocked in and at your designated position as the schedule dictates.
Should you need a shift off, you should utelize the When I Work app that you have been shown upon hiring. This is the tool you use to trade shifts, request off, etc. Should you need a last minute shift off after the schedule is written, it is your responsability to get that shift covered. Please note that verbal shift exchanges are not allowed. You must go thru When I work or in extreme cases a member of management.
Excessive absenteeism and/or tardiness will be dealt with through corrective action and could result in termination of employment. You may be asked to provide proof of medical treatment for absences due to health reasons. A Team Member who is absent for a SINGLE shift without notifying a Manager is considered to have voluntarily quit and will be removed from the schedule.
