It all began several years ago. WokChow is owned and operated by Timothy Joseph. He began in restaurants as a dishwasher in 1995. He eventually worked his way up to management and has worked in several capacities. Among them, Kitchen Manager for a Connor Concepts restaurant, Executive Chef for J. Alexanders, and General Manager at Bravo Cucina Italiana here in Knoxville. Tim was often asked when he might be interested in opening his own restaurant. His reply was always “Never! I’m not stupid”.
In 2010 Tim had an interesting opportunity to help with the opening of an Asian Restaurant in Lenoir City. Working as a consultant, the restaurant quickly opened, serving great Asian fare to local residents. Once the restaurant was on it’s own two feet, Tim stepped aside to create his own similar Asian Concept in the Bearden area of Knoxville.
WokChow Fire Seared Asian was finally born. In May of 2011 we opened our doors and have been serving Fast Casual Asian food ever since.
Tim is looking forward to the future and hopes to open more locations soon. Without great team members like yourself, that will not be possible.
